Our Program
Our transitional living programs for individuals recovering from addiction offer a range of supportive services beyond just housing. These services are designed to help residents maintain their sobriety, build life skills, and reintegrate into society. We provide access and transportation to the following services:
- Counseling and Therapy: Residents have access to individual and group counseling sessions with licensed therapists or counselors. These sessions can address underlying issues contributing to addiction, provide coping strategies, and offer emotional support.
- Life Skills Training: We offer classes or workshops to teach essential life skills such as budgeting, cooking/nutrition, time management, communication skills, and job readiness. These skills are crucial for maintaining independence and stability in recovery.
- Peer Support Groups: We often host or partner with other organizations to offer support group meetings such as (CR) Celebrate Recovery. These meetings provide residents with a supportive community of peers who understand the challenges of addiction recovery.
- Employment Assistance: WE offer individualized assistance with job searches, resume writing, interview preparation, and sometimes even job placement services. Helping our clients secure employment is vital for their long-term success and independence.
- Educational Opportunities: We provide access to educational resources, including GED classes, vocational training programs, or assistance with enrolling in college or trade schools. Education can empower residents to pursue new opportunities and careers.
- Recreational Activities: Engaging in recreational activities and hobbies can help residents develop healthy outlets for stress relief and enjoyment. We develop a schedule of outings, sports activities, art classes, or other recreational events based on clients' goals and hobbies.
- Case Management and Aftercare Planning: Case managers work with residents to develop personalized aftercare plans tailored to their needs and goals. This may involve connecting residents with community resources, outpatient treatment programs, or ongoing therapy options upon completing the transitional living program.
- Health and Wellness Services: We help clients navigate organizational system to gain them access to healthcare services, including medical check-ups and mental health assessments. Promoting overall wellness is essential for supporting sustained recovery.
- Family Support and Education: Our facility is located at Grace Abounding Full Gospel Mission. We encourage family members to visit during our regularly scheduled worship services where we offer time to connect with our clients. Rebuilding relationships with loved ones can be a crucial aspect of the recovery process.
Our services are tailored to meet the specific needs of individuals in recovery, aiming to provide comprehensive support as they transition from addiction to a healthy, fulfilling life.
